Rebuilding Hope In New Orleans
Welcome to Myrtle Beach Team RHINO's website!
We are a small group of volunteers from First Presbyterian Church in Myrtle Beach, SC. Our mission is to help the congregation of St. Charles Avenue Presbyterian Church (SCAPC) with cleanup efforts after the devastation of Hurricane Katrina. SCAPC has named the effort "Team RHINO: Rebuilding Hope in New Orleans." The Myrtle Beach teams are eager to serve as ambassadors of our church's slogan: "Where Love Makes the Difference." The fourth team worked December 9 - 16, 2006. Keep this page bookmarked for future team information.

ABOUT THIS SITE:
Myrtle Beach Team RHINO will use this site as a way to share real-time information with our friends and family back home. Diary entries will give readers insight into what New Orleans is like, months after the storm hit but years away from recovery. Pictures will show the team at work, and possibly provide an outsider's view to the magnitude of need the Gulf Coast is experiencing. Between team trips, we'll post related information.
You can subscribe to this page and receive email alerts when a new diary has been posted; use the "Log-in" link below to sign up. Since the team members are running the site, feel secure that your email address will not be shared with anyone. There's also a message board, if you'd like to share words of encouragement with the team; anyone can post - no registration needed.
How Can You Help? ... For now, spread the word. The Gulf Coast still needs help. This will be a long, drawn-out recovery. Don't forget them.
